Why?
Written by neilAfter more than six years administering and appointing referees, we understand the fact that it’s not purely the appointing process that’s time consuming and difficult for your appointments officers. It is also the administration functions around it, membership and accreditation renewals, referees’ personal and contact information being up to date, invoicing clubs and referees for fixtures covered, and much more.
With the ability to track referees actual attendance at matches we can leverage this information to flow through to your invoicing and payments and the whole deal gets a lot easier.
Due to the accuracy of referee availability information, your appointments officer will spend less time getting the weekly appointments completed. The approved appointments are made available to referees via email and on a personalised page when they log in to the Planasport site.
Approved appointments are also immediately published on a public page. This means that the information is easily accessible to those interested parties outside the referee association such as team managers, coaches, and players without the appointments officer having to generate PDFs, upload files, or send email notifications.
Accurate information is required to generate invoices, either against the referees for levies on payments received, or to clubs on behalf of the referees. By providing each referee with a record of their actual attendance at fixtures, each referee has opportunity to check their earnings and levies obligations. If a discrepancy is noticed a correction can be made prior to any invoices being generated. This can reduce the association treasurer's workload significantly along with improvements in association cash flow and membership morale.
"By virtue of employing Planasport’s online Referees Portal for our own benefit, we have also seen the enhancement of our professionalism as a service provider. I would recommend Planasport to any association who administers referees. It is great value for money and is a breath of fresh air for our staff.” - Darren Sprod, Chairman, Central Coast Football, NSW, Australia
